After being diagnosed with bone cancer 7 years ago,

I started singing and playing guitar for the first time — something I had always wanted to do, but never made time for.

I'm so deeply grateful to be here today

and I feel so fortunate and excited to share my music with you.

Last year, I went on the journey of a lifetime.

I was cast on a TV Show in Sweden called Allt För Sverige.

The show brings Americans with Swedish ancestry to Sweden to learn about their roots and compete to meet their long-lost family.

I made it to the finale.

It was heartbraking to lose.

But I was determined to come back to Sweden

and use my fame for good.

So I came back! Found my family, and started raising money for MusikHjälpen and Cancerfonden.

Since the show, Daniel has found his long-lost family in Sweden and made a home in Grängesberg, where his grandfather Stig was born. It's an old mining town in a region called Dalarna that has a rich history of folk music traditions.

Upon his arrival, Daniel organized a concert in Grängesberg with the help of family and friends that sold over 200 tickets to fundraise for cancer-prevention and treatment research for the Swedish non-profit Cancerfonden.

He fills every day with music, and hopes to make a positive impact in this world.
